Kathrin Beer
Kathrin Beer is an independent art historian, curator and lecturer.
Graduated in History of Art (M.A.) at the Freie Universität Berlin, Kathrin earned a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Scenography at Hochschule der Künste, Zurich and is a PhD candidate at the Universität Wien at the Institute of Theatre-, Film and Media Sciences, focussing on Photography and Curatorial Studies.
Having worked 15 years in the international art and auction world as an expert for Modern Art and Fine Art Editions, Kathrin’s expertise is based on a wealth of experience and knowledge, which she continues to grow in those areas as well as Post War, Contemporary Art and Photography.
Kathrin is a regular lecturer at the University of Zurich, has been a guest curator at the Fotostiftung Schweiz, Winterthur and the Berlinische Gallery, Berlin (2009-2010). Furthermore, Kathrin is independently organising and managing curatorial, research and cultural projects in cooperation with museums and academic institutions.
