Kathrin Beer is an independent art historian, curator and lecturer.

Graduated in History of Art (M.A.) at the Freie University Berlin, Kathrin earned a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Scenography at the Zurich University of the Arts and is a PhD candidate at the University of Vienna at the Institute of Theatre-, Film and Media Sciences, focussing on Photography and Curatorial Studies.

Throughout her career as an expert for Modern Art and Fine Art Editions in the international art and auction world, as well as her exhibition and research projects Kathrin has developed a specific expertise for Modern to Contemporary Art, Fine Art Editions and Photography.

She is a regular lecturer at i.a. the University of Zurich, has been a guest curator i.a. at the Fotostiftung Schweiz, Winterthur and the Berlinische Gallery, Berlin (2009-2010) and is independently organising and managing curatorial, research and cultural projects in cooperation with museums, academic institutions.
